Scholarships & Grants

Some of our fundholders at the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation created funds to address issues in a specific area of interest. We are fortunate that our donors fill needs in our community and we are able to make annual grant distributions to worthy organizations and individuals. Whether you are seeking funding as an individual, or on behalf of a nonprofit organization, we welcome your interest in these opportunities! Since these grants are available at different times of the year please check this page frequently for new and updated information as it becomes available.

Summer Camps

Vishnevetsky Family Scholarship Fund of the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation

This camp scholarship was established to defray the cost for a camper to attend Greene Family Camp. The recipient is chosen by Greene Family Camp in partnership with the Vishnevetsky Family. Established in 2016, the fund was created by former camper and staff member, Edward Vishnevetsky, z"l, whose love of GFC inspired him to help defray the cost of camp for children with financial need throughout our region. In doing so, Ed's hope was that they would have a life-long connection to Judaism and experience the magic of camp, just as he did.

Essie and Reuben Rosenbloom Jewish Overnight Camping Fund of the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation

Dale and Harold Topletz Memorial Camp Chai Scholarship Fund of the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation

Vicki Topletz endowed this scholarship in memory of her parents because she knows firsthand how much joy camp can bring to a child. Every summer a camper at Camp Chai will attend a session at no cost. This scholarship is administered directly by the Aaron Family JCC.

Vicki Topletz Camp Simcha Scholarship Fund of the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation.

Vicki Topletz was a camper at Camp Chai, and as an adult she was enlisted to become a Camp Simcha counselor, a job she relished for four summers. Now she is the first camper, turned counselor, turned donor! A young camper will attend a session at Camp Simcha each summer with a full scholarship. The Aaron Family JCC administers this annual scholarship.
