JEWISH YOUTH TZEDAKAH FOUNDATION
The Jewish Teen Funders Network (JTFN)
Through a collaborative effort of the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation, the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas, the JFGD Jewish Education Dept, and several donor-match families including the Schultz, Levine and Meyerson families, Dallas has been given a 10,000 grant per year for three years, to support and grow quality Jewish youth philanthropy programs. Funding has provided for a salaried staff person, Miranda Winer, to oversee curriculum development and actual teen involvement aimed at teaching teens to become philanthropists. This program differs from past programs with its community-wide reach and places Dallas’ Jewish youth on the fast track to national participation.
Howard Schultz, patriarch of the Schultz family said of the new Jewish Youth Tzedakah Foundation, “It has been our hope for many years that such a program could be developed for our local youth.
