Yes. In fact, we are specifically seeking a student who has strong leadership skills, and is heavily involved in secular extracurricular activities. Some involvement in Jewish activities will not disqualify you, however priority will go to students with diversified involvement and experiences.

Recipients of this scholarship will also be required to complete any forms the approved trip provider requires including their general application. As well, the trip provider may require a personal interview. Upon returning from the trip, we ask that the scholarship recipient share with us a little about their experience through a personal letter or video that you would feel comfortable sharing so we too can appreciate the impact of this one-in-a-lifetime experience.

While part of the trip is sad, it is also an uplifting experience you'll share with many other Jewish teens. Additionally, there is an Israel portion of the trip that is powerful and inspiring, and students come away from the trip knowing they have experienced a life-changing event.
