“I was raised in Boston by my single mother. Often, there was not enough money for food, so there
was definitely not enough for my Jewish education. Yet, I was able to attend Hebrew School and was the only boy from my neighborhood to graduate. It
was not until I was a late teenager that I learned it was the Jewish Federation of Boston that paid for
my education. For this, I have remained forever grateful and have been a volunteer worker for
the Federation all my life.”

Now it is our job to provide the funds needed to maintain these facilities and to ensure that our non-profits can handle the growing needs of the community. Making one charitable donation as opposed to several makes income tax preparation much easier, and ensures that I can take advantage of every deduction.
