“My will contains a bequest to the Dallas Jewish Community Endowment Fund of the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation. My hope is that this will continue the important work of the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas.” |

“Several years ago we opened a Donor Advised Fund. It made the whole giving process much simpler and simplified our record-keeping too. The service we’ve gotten from the Foundation staff, not only in setting up the Fund close to year-end, but in operating it on an ongoing basis, has been first class.” |

“Establishing our charitable remainder unitrust with the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation was a wise decision, and quite simple to arrange. It resulted in substantial savings on capital gains, while creating a fluctuating income supplement. My motivation for initiating this trust came from my service on the Professional Advisory Committee and seeing firsthand the good works made possible by the Foundation. Knowing that the endowment created from the remainder of this fund will continue to assist several causes we have supported throughout our lives is of utmost importance to Rosalie and me.” |

"Jerry and I share seven sons. We are thrilled to know that the example that we set for our children is continued on through their own deeds of loving kindness to our community and to the communities in which they live. Our sons are all involved in philanthropic activities and are the recipients of awards in their own rights. We value the teachings of our fathers and know that through our own actions, our children will be able to hand the tradition of tzedakah down to their children, — l'dor v'dor...from generation to generaton. In this way, the teachings of the Jewish people will continue, and with HaShem's help, be a light unto the nations. |

“I was raised in Boston by my single mother. Often, there was not enough money for food, so there
was definitely not enough for my Jewish education. Yet, I was able to attend Hebrew School and was the only boy from my neighborhood to graduate. It was not until I was a late teenager that I learned it was the Jewish Federation of Boston that paid for my education. For this, I have remained forever grateful and have been a volunteer worker for the Federation all my life.” |

“Our parents and grandparents did an incredible job creating all the wonderful organizations and facilities in the Dallas Jewish community. Now it is our job to provide the funds needed to maintain these facilities and to ensure that our non-profits can handle the growing needs of the community. That is why I established the Kevin Pailet Philanthropic Fund. Making one charitable donation as opposed to several makes income tax preparation much easier, and ensures that I can take advantage of every deduction. Later, when I recommend that grants be given from the fund to the non-profit organizations I support, I will constantly be reminded of my commitment to Jewish philanthropy.” |

“I’ve been fortunate in my life. My parents provided me with an education to let me pursue the career of my choice. In turn, my situation has enabled me to help others find the means to get an education, and to devote a large portion of my time to Israel missions as well. I’m a Jew and I care. In order to perpetuate my deep concern and love for the Jewish community, I endowed my gift to the Annual Campaign with a charitable remainder annuity trust. While my needs are taken care of now, I know that I will be leaving a legacy that can help future generations, in the Dallas Jewish community and *Of blessed memory |

“Among other benefits, a Donor Advised Fund allows our family to plan our charitable giving at times and under circumstances that work not only to the recipient’s benefit, but to ours as well. More importantly, I want to be a part of the larger Dallas Jewish community by having a charitable fund with the Foundation.” |

“Tzedakah is one of the fundamental values of the Jewish religion and is an integral part of our family’s values. An endowment will provide income for our favorite charities from Generation to Generation.” |
