About the Foundation
For over 40 years, the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation and its affiliated entities have skillfully worked to improve our Jewish Community and the world through the development and stewardship of philanthropic resources of donors and community partners. Consistent with this mission, the Foundation and its supporting organizations have contributed more than $125 million in charitable distributions in the last decade to support a wide range of philanthropic interests, including education, human services, the arts, and faith-based organizations. By providing the highest level of personal attention, we continuously help transform our fundholders’ philanthropic objectives into reality. With over $200 million assets under management*, the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation disbursed more than $30 million to charities in the past two years, and launched two spin-off Foundations in 2017.
Through the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation, donor directed philanthropy may be in the form of designated, endowment, field of interest and donor advised funds for current giving or to perpetuate philanthropy from one generation to the next. One excellent vehicle utilized at the Foundation to memorialize or honor loved ones is our named scholarship program. Additionally, our legacy initiative for the future has surpassed $270 million in bequests and endowment commitments*. Our outstanding team of volunteers, professional leadership, and experienced staff justify the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation’s proud standing as one of the premier community foundations in the State of Texas.
Since our establishment, we have diligently pursued excellence. Of our many accomplishments, the one we value most is the trust and confidence of our fundholders and their advisors.
